Layering is essential in Winnipeg. As soon as those temperatures drop for the year, we're reaching for anything to stay cozy. Follow along to see how we style layers without looking bulky!

Starting with your favourite pair of jeans and a simple tank as a base. This adds extra warmth but is still easy to layer over. Step one in this outfit was our Niki Biki tank, it's a seamless & super stretch material that is comfy and moves with you!

Next, choose your top. Anything that has a higher neck or with a collar is a cute idea, as it peeks out at the neck of a sweater.

At Mad, we are all sweater fiends, can't ever have enough! In this case, choose a sweater that is warm but not too thick of a knit. A sweater with a wider neck is a good option to comfortably fit a shirt underneath and still have it visible! We styled this outfit with a slightly oversized, cropped knit. This one is cute because you can see the collar as well as the bottom of the shirt.

Moving on to outerwear, a longer coat is a super cute way to add dimension to your outfit. Playing with lengths and textures always make an ensemble more interesting! We went with this super cute long bomber style, but a wool coat or trench would work just as well.

The finishing touches are accessories! A good blanket scarf will forever be our Fall and Winter essential.
