Back to School Wardrobe Staples: Denim and Navy

A few things we’re gravitating towards this upcoming fall: a hot latte, soft knits, the colour navy, and a classic pair of denim, things that seem to never go out of style. We’ve filled our newest Cozy Collegiate Collection with all things classic and timeless for the quickly approaching back to school season. 

Two staples that everyone has in their wardrobe; a pair of denim and the colour navy. Two things however, many of us don’t gravitate towards styling together. 

Because of the similar blue hues of the navy it may seem intimidating to wear a monochromatic outfit, however, it's the adding of contrasting accents that will allow for a more cohesive look. 

Navy is a colour that exudes elegance and can instantly enhance any outfit, making your wardrobe feel elevated when incorporated. 

For example a brown belt to break up the blues, a grey blazer overtop, or simply a lighter or darker wash of denim to create a little bit more contrast between the two hues is all it takes. This is the type of combination that doesn't need to be over thought! 

Accessorizing with neutral hues such as brown, cream, taupe, and black make for gorgeous accents to a more monochromatic outfit. 

A straight mid-wash denim, a crisp white button down with an oversized soft navy knit on top; a dark denim, a super soft navy turtleneck layered underneath a navy striped sweater; or a light wash denim with a mid weight navy collegiate knit with white piping.
