Behind the Scenes of our February Buying Trip

February is always an exciting month for us at the shop as we finalize our upcoming spring collection and start laying the groundwork for fall. It’s a time of creativity, planning and brainstorming! Follow along with Nicola and Isabel on our latest buying trip and get a sneak peek at what’s coming to the shop for Spring 2025 and beyond.

Travelling together so often has made our suitcases meld into one vibe. Unpacking in the closet this time ended up creating a very aesthetic rack shot!

Of course every day starts with a stop at the cutest cafe for our morning coffee & breakfast! the perfect place to make our plan! We like to brainstorm future events and mini collections in advance so we can be very intentional in our selection.

This trip, we put the final touches on our Spring 2025 collection. With most of the pieces booked during our August buy, there were only a few additions needed to round it out.  

Every season, we tend to overload on either blouses or dresses, and this year, it’s all about blouses! Over the past couple seasons, classic blouses have been hard to find, but we’re thrilled to see them making a strong comeback.

When we're buying a collection we try to be very mindful about making them balanced and start outfit planning long before anything arrives at the store. We searched for the perfect denim to go with all these blouses and have a great selection of 9 new styles coming in, from a trendy barrel leg to a classic slim straight.

Spring 2025 is seeing a resurgence of the boho aesthetic—think lace, crochet, flowing floral dresses, and soft brown neutrals mixing in with the usual pastels. Stripes remain a staple spring print, but with a noticeable nautical influence this season. You'll find plenty of ways to pair them with boat shoes and the navy-inspired pieces from our pre-spring collections.

While we can't wait for the spring pieces to launch, our minds are already on Fall 2025. And while it may be too early to say—this might just be our favourite fall collection yet!

The vibe for next fall is a mix of traditional English countryside with a touch of Western flair. We saw tons textured fabrics like suede, wool, and canvas, along with the continuation of denim in deeper washes.

We also found some incredible jackets and toppers in exciting new silhouettes that we can't wait to style! We’re already dreaming up stunning photoshoot concepts to bring it to life.

Celebrated a successful trip with dinner out! The open kitchen lined with copper pots was the perfect backdrop to our brown butter perogies and bubbly!

As always, we can’t wait to bring these new collections into the shop and share them with you. We hand select all of our pieces with the Mad community in mind and love to see your favourites!
