One of our favourite trends this fall has been a classic slip skirt. We’ve been finding this piece so fun to style and to find new ways to work with the silhouettes it creates. We’ve found so many ways to style a slip skirt, making it an incredibly versatile piece to add to your wardrobe.

Slip skirts have the ability to be dressed up or down as well which makes them feel like that much more of a valuable addition to your closet.

Let's break down some of the ways that we’re most excited to style our slip skirts this fall:

Picture this: A brown satin slip skirt, an oversized neutral blazer, and a textured layering tank. A black patent mule to bring the entire look together and you have the perfect office look. Yes, we’re styling (and loving) black and brown together! 

Taking your slip skirt to work is ideal as it's comfy and stylish.

On the other hand, style a navy chunky knit sweater, a white boxy tee to layer and a creamy satin slip skirt. For footwear, think a suede loafer, a sneaker such as a samba, or a ballet flat.

The perfect comfy and casual yet elevated look. The silhouette that an oversized knit overtop of a more fitted slip skirt creates or that a loose cotton button up with a knit thrown over the shoulders is so classy yet fresh and effortless and one that we find ourselves gravitating towards more and more these days. 

Throw a camel trench overtop on those cooler, rainy fall days for an extra layer of warmth.

We loved the look of a slip skirt paired with a flowy blouse, a thin belt around the waist and a sling back kitten heel for a classy “out on the town” look. Adding a waist belt creates more definition to a more overall loose outfit. 

A full tuck of a more fitted blouse into a slip skirt would create a dimensional silhouette as well. Add a pop of colour with a red bag as an eye-catching accessory and you’re ready for a night out!.

We’re seeing a surge in fashion of combining elevated pieces with more casual styles to create a dynamic outfit that can be worn multiple ways and for multiple occasions. The dichotomy between sophisticated femininity and casual effortless aesthetics makes for a drastic pairing that we’re really loving.
