Fall Trend Breakdown: Polka Dots

Welcome back to another edition of the Fall 2024 trend breakdown! Where we discuss and style our favourite trends for this season.

One trend that we’re seeing everywhere this fall is polka dots. Along with peplums, this was a huge trend back in the 2010’s that is making a resurgence. 

This adorable print was a big part of the twee fashion trend of the early 2010’s which took the fashion world by storm with its artsy and hipster aesthetic with Zoey Deschanel as the appointed inspiration.

From A-line skirts, bright primary colours, to knee high socks and mary janes, the twee fashion trend is making its comeback in new and elevated ways. Twee fashion included polka dots as well and now we’re seeing this fun print in new reinvented ways.

This print is undeniably alluring and adds a cutesy factor to any look. Many runways included polka dots in their 2024 spring and summer shows and it seems to be a continuing trend for the foreseeable future! 

This print oozes personality and adds a little touch of fun to an outfit while still keeping it in elevated and sophisticated silhouettes. From a classic satin slip dress, to a satin blouse, these satisfying prints make for an eye catching look.
