Join Prairie Owl Beads for an introduction to Métis beadwork! In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will learn the basics of beading while creating a small floral-inspired piece.

Prairie Owl Beads is a Métis beadwork business founded by four sisters from the Red River Métis homeland. Through their beadwork and workshops, they share Métis culture, creativity, and the stories held within this art form, making beadwork accessible to learners of all experience levels.

Beadwork is a slow and intentional practice, but participants will leave with a strong foundation in beadwork, their project well underway, and all of the materials and knowledge needed to complete their beaded flower.

This workshop includes:

• One-needle beadwork technique and beading basics

• All materials and supplies

• Hands-on instruction in a supportive environment

• Instruction in both English and French

• Guidance to continue and complete at home

No previous beadwork experience is necessary.
